During the two decades Farinelli worked in Spain as artistic director of the Real Coliseo del Buen Retiro and the Royal Entertaintments of the king Ferdinand VI. He transformed the mythical opera theatre in Madrid into an international epicentre of stage music during the rococo period. He brought the most extraordinary singers, stage designers from Italy and commisioned the operas he wanted to present to the king and the spanish court, to the main composers and libretttist in Europe: from Metastasio -who wrote special librettos for the spanish public-, to Conforto, Galuppi, Jommelli, Hasse, Mazzoni and many others  To present one of Farinelli's favourite singers, the soprano Teresa Castellini, we have prepared a program with a selection of her most challenging arias and cantatas she sang for the musical Eden created by Farinelli at the spanish court.
